MY STORY
My life took a pivotal turn at the age of 21 when I underwent a major pelvic reconstructive surgery. Every phase of my recovery was challenging. The structure of my pelvis forever changed, causing a ripple effect of tightened muscles, compensation issues, nerve damage, and major scar tissue adhesions in my upper leg and abdomen.
I visited countless bodyworkers to find relief, and learned how to listen to my body. I changed my major to study more in school, and realized I want to help others with challenges like mine. I enrolled in massage school and developed a strong foundation in bodywork, then hit the road for a year, traveling through remote villages of South East Asia where I learned ancient forms of bodywork and herbalism in local temples. During this time I received a post-graduate diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine and Yogic Science, studied Thai massage, and Yoo Fai (Thai Traditional Postnatal Treatments.)
I have since taken courses and received certifications in:
-
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
-
Sharon Wheeler’s ‘ScarWork’
-
Breast Scar Release Therapy
-
Pregnancy Massage
-
Advanced Osteopathic Palpation Techniques

MY APPROACH
As an avid athlete, surfer, free-diver, backpacker and highly active human, my body has been put through a lot. Because of this, I understand where to find trigger points and how to approach them. Every injury I've had has taught me so much about how to help others, and I combine this personal understanding with the wisdom I have gained from my own healers to help my clients feel better and recover faster. My surgery and the years of recovery that followed greatly influenced my life and because of it, my greatest passion lies in the world of injury recovery, especially scar tissue therapy.
As a Biology major who loved Biochemistry, I’m a bit of a science nerd so my approach is most often based on scientific literature. However I truly believe that bodywork goes so much deeper than the physical experience. Massage is an art of listening, which provides a platform of safety and understanding where the body can release not just tight muscles, but the deeper tensions, emotions, and traumas that may be stored in the body. No system in our body operates in isolation. Our nervous system, muscles, emotions, and detox pathways are all intricately interconnected, creating the complex beings we are. Because of this, we can't address one area without considering the whole picture. My goal is to create a safe space where you can release what no longer serves you, find healthy balance, and leave feeling rejuvenated and whole.
